The  next fun opportunity to meet Brian will be  Hike & Prayer with Brian , on  Fri., Aug. 16 . Meet Brian at 8:30 a.m., at the Stough Canyon hiking trailhead in Burbank. This moderate hike will take about an hour. At the summit, there's a panoramic view of Burbank, where we'll pray over the city!

For a more energetic experience to meet Brian, come to Kung Fu Workout with Brian , on Sat., Aug. 31 , from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Gym. Brian says, "This workout is not for the faint of heart, or weak of knees!" You can go at your own pace. Just be prepared to be pushed during this intense workout.
BACK TO SCHOOL:  Our  11 a.m.  children and youth programs start back up  this  coming  Sun., Aug. 11 !

FAITH PROMISE UPDATE: So far we have received 44 Faith Promise pledges totaling $85,000 for the year, for the missions budget. You can still turn in your Faith Promise pledge cards during the offering during our worship service, or mail them to the church office (438 E. Harvard Rd. Burbank, CA 91501) until August 25. FALL LADIES NIGHT OUT: Save the Date for Ladies Night Out (LNO) on Mon., Sept. 16! Our LNO speaker Courtney Ellis, will speak on being "Uncluttered: Free Your Space, Free Your Schedule, Free Your Soul." Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Cost is $25 for Emmanuel Church attendees, and $15 for guests. Come enjoy fun fellowship, food, worship, and opportunity drawings. Courtney will also be selling and signing her books .

WOMEN'S EVENING BIBLE STUDY: The Fall Women's Tuesday Night Bible Study starts on Tues., Sept. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lower Auditorium. All ladies are welcome to attend this in-depth, 4-week Bible study on Philippians. WOMEN'S MORNING BIBLE STUDY: The Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study starts  Wed., Sept. 18, from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m., in the Lower Auditorium. This 30-week study is on " 30 Life Principles Bible Study" by Dr. Charles F. Stanley. This study will go thru May 2020, (with a holiday break from Nov. 27 until Jan. 10, 2020). Book cost is $25.
