Worship Online & Connect through Facebook!

Stay connected with each other and the many resources we're providing on Emmanuel's Facebook Group. You can get on our Facebook Group in one of two ways: accept an invitation that may have already been sent to you, or on Facebook, do a search for the "Emmanuel Church Burbank" group and request to be added. (Note: this is a private group for our congregation, that's separate from our public Facebook page).
SUNDAY WORSHIP, CHILDREN & YOUTH ONLINE:  In light of current events, "in person" events are suspended. However, we have online options:
  • Sunday Worship Gathering at 9:30 a.m.
Please worship with us online this coming Sunday! We will live stream our service via our Emmanuel YouTube Channel. Go to YouTube, and search for "Emmanuel Church Burbank."
  • Sunday Children's Programming at 9:30 a.m.
Look for info from our children's ministry regarding their special children's worship service on Emmanuel YouTube.
  • Sunday High School Ministry Video at 11:30 a.m.
Look for info sent from our youth leaders regarding their private  Instagram account.
  • Sunday Middle School Ministry Video at 12:30 a.m.
Look for info sent from our youth leaders regarding their private Facebook group.
COMMUNION THIS SUNDAY: In this coming Sunday's worship, we will take communion together. That's right! It's time to partake of the body and blood of Christ. To be ready for communion, you're invited to prepare before the service begins
The following preparation keeps in mind the difficulty of visiting your local grocery store these days, so use what elements you have available at home.
For the body, place bite-size pieces of any of these elements on a small plate: bread, cracker or pita. Preferably, the substance is something with little taste, so no sweet, salty or spicy. If you don't have these, any chewable, starchy food would serve well too, like muffins, cookies, or chips.
For the blood, pour a sip-worth of juice (grape, cranberry, strawberry, or tomato) into a cup or glass for each person. A reddish liquid is preferable. If you don't have any of these, you can use any type of juice, tea, sparkling cider, or even water.
If you know others who worship with us online but are not part of Emmanuel Church, please feel free to pass this information to them if they choose to partake in communion as well.

SUNDAY NIGHT PRAYER: Starting this coming Sun., March 29, at 6 p.m., Teri Parker, our deacon of prayer, is encouraging everyone to join in a time of corporate prayer. You can pray alone, with family and friends, over the phone and Skype, or other ways. This will be a weekly call to pray. Each Sunday evening, take some time to pray. We may not be physically together, but we can pray in one accord. Look for weekly prayer guides on our Emmanuel Facebook Group page. For more info, contact Teri at praying4u1958@yahoo.com

ONLINE CONNECTION: (updated)

EMMANUEL CHURCH CARE DETAILS: We are grateful that so many people have signed up to respond to needs within our congregation. So far, very few needs have been communicated, but we expect that to change as the weeks pass. If you need to communicate a need, or want to volunteer to help meet a need, access the SignUpGeniuis site here.

GOOD WITH A BRUSH OR A ROLLER? Are you good with a paint brush or a roller and have some spare time? We have a few church painting projects to complete during this down time. Those who volunteer to paint will be working by themselves. If you are interested, contact Pastor Bob at bob@emmanuelburbank.org.

BCR CLEANING: Help clean BCR facilities tomorrow afternoon, March 25, for their mentally-disabled clients' return to the facility. We could use a few more people. Sign up on the Emmanuel Church Burbank Facebook post or contact Kim Johnson for details.

STAYING FAITHFUL WITH YOUR GIVING: Since we are not meeting publicly for worship on Sunday mornings, it is especially important to use one of our other options to give your tithes and offerings to the church.  Thank you for your faithfulness during these challenging and different times.

GIVING OPTIONS: There are many options to give:
  •  Through our website at www.emmanuelburbank.org/give,
  •  Text-To-Give, by texting 84321,
  •  Mailing your offering to 438 E. Harvard Rd, Burbank, CA 91501,
  •  Using your bill paying service for your tithe and offering.
For more  information on how to give your tithes and offerings, contact Pastor Bob Drummond at  bob@emmanuelburbank.org .
