ALPHA'S COMING: Legacy Builders will host the next Alpha course. This course is a great follow up for guests you invited to the Christmas concerts! Alpha starts this Sun., Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. in Garden Room C. Alpha is a 10-session series that explores the Christian faith! Each session looks at a different question regarding the faith, and is designed for conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and all are welcome. EMMANUEL CHOIR RESUMES:  Did you enjoy the Christmas concerts? Would you like to join in the fun? Then come to our next choir rehearsal, when we resume this Wed., Jan. 9 , at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. We have already selected some great music for the new year, and will begin preparing selections for our Easter Sunday services. CONNECT GROUPS STARTING:  Want to make deeper relationships at Emmanuel? Then, consider joining a "Connect" group on  Mondays , (at the home of Randy and Connie Karman,  1604 N. Niagara St., Burbank ), or on  Thursdays , starting  Jan. 10 , (at the home of Key and Cheri Payton,  1214 N. Ontario St., Burbank ). WOMEN'S EVENING BIBLE STUDY:  The Women's Tuesday Night Bible Study starts next  Tues., Jan. 15 , from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lower Auditorium. All ladies are welcome to attend this in-depth, 4-week Bible study on 1 & 2 Peter. We'll study the scriptures, share with each other, and apply what we learn to our lives. Sign up this Sun., Jan. 13. WOMEN'S MORNING BIBLE STUDY: The Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study starts next  Wed., Jan. 16, from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. in the Lower Auditorium. This study, on "The Armor of God" by Priscilla Shirer, will run through April. Cost is $15. No need to sign up, just come on Jan. 16. Study books will be available then. All ladies are welcome. CHURCH GOVERNANCE DOCUMENTS:  The proposed, revised church articles of incorporation, constitution, and bylaws are available for review. These proposed, revised versions reflect the congregational input we received since the last version was made available in the Fall. Hard copies of these revised documents are available in the church foyer and office. A PDF version can be emailed, by contacting Mark Letts at  mark@emmanuelburbank.org . A congregational meeting, for further discussion, comments, and a vote, is scheduled for  Sun., Jan. 27 , at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.
