Congratulations to Dr. Shonn Keels for his call to be the next Lead Pastor of Emmanuel Enid. I know he and his wife, Bonnie, will be a blessing to Emmanuel. Shonn will begin teaching every Sunday beginning on January 9, 2022. We’re excited about the Keels family transitioning to Enid from OKC.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to the Pastor Search Committee for their tireless work over the last 10 months while searching for the next Lead Pastor at Emmanuel. They spent hours in prayer, viewing sermons, holding meetings and discussions, and interviewing candidates as they sought the best fit for Emmanuel. All nine gave of themselves for Emmanuel’s benefit, and Carol Williams did a fantastic job as chair of the committee. Thank you, PSC, for bringing Shonn Keels to Emmanuel.
This Sunday, we will have 45 men as our guests from Adult/Teen Challenge in Stillwater. These men are in a drug and alcohol rehab program in Stillwater under Director Todd Adams. The men consider Emmanuel Enid their “home church” and Peggy Bowers “knocks it out of the park” in preparing a meal for them when they visit us each quarter.
DON’T FORGET, next Friday, November 26, is OPENING NIGHT for the CHRIST TREE. The Williams Family has gone “all out” to make Enid, Oklahoma, the place to be this Christmas. Get downtown by the Tree early to hear the community choir led by Dan Heath and to be a part of a very special evening. Festivities at the Christ Tree begin at 6:30 pm.
This Sunday we continue our study from the book of Daniel. I believe you will be greatly encouraged from the message in Daniel 10 and what God does to encourage His people during times of distress!
See you Sunday!
