  • Clinical Rounds Registration
  • Safety and CNT

ALL DAOM FELLOWS NEED TO USE THE FORM TO REQUEST THEIR SHIFT NIGHT (THURSDAY OR FRIDAY) AND DATES. THIS INCLUDES OUT-OF-STATE FELLOWS, SO WE CAN MAKE SURE WE ACCURATELY SCHEDULE THE SHIFTS.

Priority Registrations
Due to teaching and safety issues in the clinic, the maximum number of students per shift is capped at 6. What this means is that for DAOM Weekends, priority for the shifts will go to students from out-of-state, and then based on seniority.

Fellows that live in Southern California may request to be scheduled on the DAOM Weekends if there are extenuating circumstances that create a conflict in scheduling and can only come DAOM weekends with the approval of Dr. MoraMarco and Dr. Kim.

As noted in the Registration form Clinical rounds shifts are capped at 6 student on a given shift and priority is given to fellows traveling the greatest distance for the program. Please contact them as soon as possible to ensure a space on DAOM weekends. Please note that Fellows must get final approval from Dr. MoraMarco and Dr. Kim before attending on DAOM weekend, credit will not be given for attendance on those dates without prior approval from the Deans.
OSHA, Clean Needle Techniques, and Blood Borne Pathogens
OSHA, BBP, and CNT
DAOM Fellows are required to follow OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen protocols, including CNT protocols as outlined in the CLEAN NEEDLE TECHNIQUE MANUAL 7TH EDITION.

DAOM Fellows that were trained and certified in older editions are responsible for reading and following the most recent edition and updates. Any DAOM fellow that is found to be in violation of CNT or OSHA standards will be referred to the Dean of Clinical Education. Repeated or series violations will result in disciplinary action.

Patient charts are a legal document and as such serves as a validation for services rendered. Inadequate charting can result in improper treatment or poor documentation of treatment rendered. So charting must be done in an accurate, concise, legible and well-ordered manner.
