Our Winter Semester will commence on Saturday January 3rd. Please scroll down to view events that are divided amongst age groups, progression balls and UTR Levels.

Most of our events are listed on UTR to register. Clicking on the event will allow you to register as well as view the description. Even if the event appears full, we encourage players to register as sometimes players withdraw. If players are on a waitlist and do not get to compete, refunds will be issued.

Junior Holiday Camps

Monday 1/19 • MLK Day Camp

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Monday 2/16 - Friday 2/20 • February Recess Camp

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Empire Tennis Academy is hosting a special camp on Monday 1/19, Martin Luther King Day . and also the entire week of February Recess from Monday 2/16 - Friday 2/20. Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Our camp will have students working on coordination, movement, technique, playing cooperative/competitive games, as well as learning how to demonstrate sportsmanship, all while having a tremendous amount of fun. These camps are a great way to get extra repetitions in as well as play a tremendous amount of points while having fun on a day off from school. The cost to register is $63/ day, or $285 for the entire week of February Recess Camp from Monday - Friday.

Camp registration is available for all Red Ball Level Players (Entry, Intermediate and Advanced). Camp is also available for Orange Intermediate and Advanced Players, as well as Green Intermediate Players. Orange Entry and Green Entry players are not eligible to register.

Boys Boot Camp Monday 2/16 - Wednesday 2/18

1:00 - 4:00 p.m. • Empire Tennis Academy

This camp is exclusively for boys 7th grade and older who plan to try out for their Modified, JV, or Varsity tennis team this fall. Players can expect drills and games that will improve their tactical and technical abilities. We will take time to focus on both singles and doubles separately so players are prepared regardless of where they place in their team lineup. Everyone will also receive multiple chances to play practice matches so they become more comfortable using their skills in competition. This boot camp will leave everyone feeling prepared and confident for the competitive challenges they will likely face throughout their upcoming spring season. Camp will run for three consecutive days from Monday 2/16 - Wednesday 2/18 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Saturday 1/17 • 10th Annual Parent/ Child Touranment

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. • Salmon Creek Country Club

The Empire Tennis Academy 10th Annual Parent/Child Tournament will be hosted on Saturday, 1/17, from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m at Salmon Creek Country Club. Teams will compete in a round robin format in the early stages of the evening. The top 4 teams will continue in a single elimination playoff draw to determine the tournament champion (AKA most functional parent/child duo 😉). As always, the winning team gets to take home a big trophy!

The cost to register for this event is $40. We're only taking up to 8 teams for the event and we're inviting many more, so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible! Players must be playing on yellow ball and have matchplay experience to register. Email frank@empiretennisacademy.com to register.

Saturday 1/31 • Parent/ Child Play Day

5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. • Empire Tennis Academy

Please join us for our next U8 Parent-Child Play Day on Saturday 12/13 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm! Coach Jason will lead activities and fun games for both parents and children to partner up and participate with each other. Kids ages 5-8 can register with their parents. There are a few spots remaining, so please let us know asap if you are interested in attending.

Joining this event is a great way for both the parents and children to bond with each other and help grow and develop their love of tennis. If you've taken a break or would love an opportunity to get on the courts in a fun and structured play date with your child, this is the perfect event to get your kid back in the swing of things!

The cost to register is $18. If you are interested in signing up, please email glaiza@empiretennisacademy.com. Limited Spots are available and will be given to players on a first-come first-serve basis.

Saturday 1/31 • Adult Cardio Party

5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. • Empire Tennis Academy

A total of 6 players can join us for a 90 minute heart pumping cardio tennis workout on Saturday evening. The cost to join is $30. Limited spaces available. To reserve your spot, please email frank@empiretennisacademy.com

U10 ORANGE BALL USTA ROUND ROBINS

Saturday 1/3 • 1/17 • 1/24 • 2/7 • 2/21 (5:00 - 8:00 p.m.)

Empire is proud to host several round robin tournaments for junior players ages 10 and under year round. These events will run from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. If you are interested in registering, please reach out to Junior Program Director Julian Danko to see if your child is ready to start competing in these tournaments. Juniors should be in our Intermediate and Advanced Level Orange Ball Classes.
