UPCOMING HOLIDAY ADULT EVENTS AT EMPIRE

Empire Tennis Academy will be hosting a plethora of Adult Events over the course of the next couple weeks leading up to the New Year. We have a selection of various events listed below for you to view and register. We understand the holidays become a busy time for everyone, but with enough advanced notice, you can plan your escape from the stressful obligations and commitments you have and spend some much needed time on the court developing your game, competing and satiating your enthusiasm and passion for tennis with the events listed below.

12/18 • Adult UTR Verified Doubles at Salmon Creek • 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

12/26 • Post Christmas Cardio Class • 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

12/26 • USTA League Prep Adult Doubles Drill and Play • 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

12/29 • Adult UTR Game N Play Unrated - 3.0 • 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

12/30• USTA League Prep Adult Doubles Drill and Play • 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

1/1 • New Years Day 90 - Minute Cardio Party • 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Empire Tennis Academy is hosting a very special UTR Verified UTR Doubles Matchplay Event on Saturday 12/18/2021 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Salmon Creek Country Club located in Spencerport. This verified UTR event will allow a total of 12 doubles teams/ (24 players) players to compete in Two UTR Verified Doubles matches over the course of 2 hours. Matches will be 2 out of 3 short sets (to 4 games | no ad scoring) with a 10- point tiebreaker for the 3rd set. 

There will be two groupings for this event. Group A will play their verified matches from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Group B will play their verified matches from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Grouping will be assigned based upon UTR. 

PLAYERS MUST SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER. If you do not have a partner and would like to play in this event, please email frank@empiretennisacademy.com stating that you would like to play in this event. A partner's name will be assigned to you. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT UNLESS YOU HAVE A PARTNER OR HAVE REACHED OUT TO frank@empiretennisacademy.com and he has given you further instructions. Once you register, you must put your partners name in. Both players must have a myutr.com account to register.  

The cost for this event comes to $40 per team ($30 with a Power UTR Subscription). The player from your team who registers online will pay the registration fee, and will need to collect money from your partner. Only one player from each team needs to register for this event, and simply insert the name of your partner where it asks for your doubles' partner. 

Join us on Sunday, December 26th, get your exercise and tennis fulfillment in our heart-pumping, calorie burning 60- minute cardio class the day after Christmas. This class will run from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. The cost to register for this class is $17 and spaces are limited. In order to register for this class, you need to be an Intermediate Level Tennis Player, or have taken group lesson previously with us. To register, email frank@empiretennisacademy.com

In Preparation for the Upcoming USTA Doubles Season, Empire is offering our Adults a USTA League Prep Doubles Drill n Play leading up to the season. Our second Doubles Drill n Play will be held on Sunday 12/26 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This UTR Event is for Adults whose UTR is between a 2.0 - 5.0 The cost to register is $30.  

This event will offer Adults an opportunity to compete in doubles matches against each other. Doubles teams will be able to play a minimum of two matches. There will also be a designated drill-court run by a Tennis pro conducting both doubles drills that will be tactically beneficial to players who are planning on joining the USTA team. 

There are only 14 slots available for this event, and they will go to players who sign up on a first-come first-serve basis. All matches will count towards your UTR. 

YOU DO NOT NEED TO SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER! 

Note: Spaces for this event are initially reserved for the Empire Tennis Academy players enrolled in our Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday night classes. If there are spaces open for other players to register, we will open up the registration to the general public by Thursday 12/18 and outside players are more than welcome to join us and get some fun competition in!

Note: If you register for this event and do not have the appropriate UTR or register before the 12/18 deadline of our Empire Tennis Academy USTA team players, your registration may be removed.

On Wednesday 12/29 Empire will be hosting an Adult UTR Game N Play for players from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Indoors. This UTR Event is for Adults whose UTR is between unrated - 3.0. The cost to register is $30.  We Strongly encourage the players in our Advanced Beginner / Low Intermediate Classes to register for this event, as it will give you an opportunity to gain valuable match experience and apply the tactics and technique taught in your group lessons and apply it in a more competitive setting.

This event will offer Adults an opportunity to compete against each other. Adults will be able to play a minimum of two-single short set matches. There will also be a designated drill-court run by a Tennis pro conducting both singles and doubles drills. There are only 10 slots available for this event, and they will go to whoever signs up on a first-come first-serve basis. All matches will count towards your UTR.

This event will offer Adults an opportunity to compete in doubles matches against each other. Doubles teams will be able to play a minimum of two matches. There will also be a designated drill-court run by a Tennis pro conducting both doubles drills that will be tactically beneficial to players who are planning on joining the USTA team.

Your 2022 Resolution is Tennis, Tennis, Tennis, and what better way to start the New Year than waking up and coming to join us for our Annual New Years 90-Minute Cardio Party. On Saturday 1/1/2022, Empire will be hosting their 90-minute cardio party.

Last year, we had all three courts filled with Adults who all joined us to ring in the New Year and are expecting to have the same turnout. Running from 10:30 - 12:00 p.m., this class will give you enough time to sleep in and sweat out the "Toxins of Year's Past" or rejuvenate your mind, spirit and body.

The cost to register for this class is $23 and spaces are limited. In order to register for this class, you need to be an Advanced Beginner/ Intermediate Level Tennis Player, or have taken group lesson previously with us. All three courts will be divided based upon the player's specific tennis levels. To register for this class, simply email frank@empiretennisacademy.com
