Hello Empire Family!. We have just commenced our Fall-2 Semester at Empire and we have several upcoming events for our community We are hosting several events at Empire Tennis Academy, Mendon Racquet Club and Salmon Creek Country Club leading up to the holiday break.

Please scroll down and view our events. You can click on the event to register. Several of the events listed below are found on UTR and the complete event description is on the registration page. Even if the event appears full, we encourage you to register as players sometimes withdraw and those on the waitlist will take their spaces. Please make sure your UTR is in the required range when registering.

Empire Tennis Academy is hosting a special Veteran's Day Camp on Monday 11/11. Camp will run from from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Our camp will have students working on coordination, movement, technique, playing cooperative/competitive games, as well as learning how to demonstrate sportsmanship, all while having a tremendous amount of fun. These camps are a great way to get extra repetitions in as well as play a tremendous amount of points while having fun on a day off from school. The cost to register is $54. EVENT DESCRIPTIONS

UTR Verified 2 in 2 Matchplay Events

Description: Verified UTR events will players to compete in two UTR singles matches. Matches will be two short sets to four games with no ad scoring with a 10- point tiebreaker if players split sets. Even numbers of participants are required when hosting these events. All scores are inserted into UTR and count towards obtaining a rating.

Age Ranges

Juniors Ages 11-17

Adults 18+

Combined: Juniors and Adults Ages 11+

Game N Plays

Description: Game N Plays allow for players to play at least 2 matches over the course of an event. Matches will consist of playing a single short set up to four games with no-ad scoring. While players are not on a game court, a tennis pro will run a fun tactical game court with singles and or a combination of singles and doubles. All scores are inserted into UTR and count towards obtaining a rating.

 Green Ball Round Robin Tournaments

Description: Format is a round robin, where each player will play matches against all participants in their groupings. There may also be playoffs for the semifinals or finals depending on the amount of students participating. Matches are one short set up to 4, no-ad scoring.The winner takes home a trophy! Ages 9-12, or Ages 8-11 depending on the specific tournament.
