Dear Team,

I enjoyed seeing the flood of photos that were submitted for the “ Safer, Stronger, Together” campaign for the #DoYourPartORL employee face mask contest! Thank you to each and every employee for doing your part, setting the example by wearing a face covering and simply doing the right thing. As part of the County’s commitment to reducing the spread of COVID-19, guidelines for face coverings have been added to the personal protective equipment section of the Safety and Health Manual.

This is an unprecedented time of change is causing a great deal of stress on each of us and can negatively impact our physical and mental health in more ways than we even realize. That is why I am encouraging you to take advantage of the County’s robust wellness program. It is important to me that you have the resources you need to help you stay safe, healthy, informed and engaged.

Virtual Health Summit
Please consider participating in the County’s first-ever Virtual Health Summit on July 31 and August 21! The Thrive program is a Diabetes Care Management program available through a partnership with AdventHealth. This innovative program aims to help you manage life with diabetes and thrive through a multi-disciplinary approach. Employees, spouses and/or adult children are eligible to enroll in the program by July 31.

Mobile Mammography
The Women's Center for Radiology Mobile Mammography Unit will be at various county locations nearly once a month through the end of the year. The mobile unit is accredited and capable of performing both screening and diagnostic 3D mammograms. You or your spouse can schedule an appointment by calling 407-841-0822, ext. 2. Annual screenings can detect cancer early, which is when it is the most treatable.

myOCWellness
Don’t forget that many of the programs and services offered by the County’s wellness team, including those I’ve mentioned, can earn you points for myOCWellness. MyOCWellness is a points-driven health and wellness incentive program. Ultimately, employees who are on the County’s Cigna medical benefits plan and meet the requirements of the program will receive a reduction toward 2021 Cigna medical insurance premiums per pay period. For more information, visit www.ocfl.net/myocwellness. If you have any questions, email wellness@ocfl.net.

Your health and wellness will continue to be a top priority for our organization and I urge you to make it a priority for yourself. Our ability to provide the best service and support to our community depends on you.

I appreciate you and wish you all the best in health.
