Upcoming Summer Construction Projects | |
|
During your commute to work these next few months, you may notice more roadway construction and lane closures. For years, Concord residents have said that roadway repairs are one of their most urgent City priorities. Thanks to funding from Measure V, Concord has dozens of projects in the works, and 14 that will be under construction over the summer months.
Measure V is a voter-approved, one-cent use and transaction tax that preserves core City services and generates about $30 million annually. This funding was used to make an immediate investment in roads through a five-year pavement management plan. Most of the projects include some kind of road paving as well as other improvements such as accessible sidewalks and new fiber.
These projects will likely require some lane/road closures and detours. We share information about major road closures through Nextdoor and our social media channels. You can also find more information about each project and its timeline on our interactive Capital Improvement Projects map.
