Special Events Committee Needs You! e a
|
|
We don’t need experts, just people who are engaging and want to spread the word about our events. Our meetings are once a month (3rd Tuesday at 12:30 on Zoom).
Committee members help in many ways including:
· Brainstorming to find new ways to keep our events fresh and interesting
· Supporting our two events
· Helping recruit volunteers for the events in addition to attending events
· Helping get the word out about our events
· Putting up posters to market our events
If this sounds like you, please reach out to Lisa Zhe for more information.

Meet the Patient Experience, Quality Improvement and Risk Management Teams
and play the Fun Facts game
|
|
Each month, we feature a different department in the newsletter. This month, meet some members of the Patient Experience, Quality Improvement and Risk Management teams and see if you can guess which fun facts go with which person.
Quality Improvement, Patient Experience, and Risk Management often intersect in healthcare. Program managers Mary Andrews, Shannon Gillan and Michelle Marquis explain: The three departments work collaboratively to assure that the agency is supporting improved health and clinical outcomes. They do this by collecting feedback, tracking organizational metrics, benchmarking against other comparable agencies and supporting a safe, just culture for all employees and the people we serve.
About Quality Improvement:
The framework used to systematically improve care. Quality improvement seeks to standardize processes and structure to reduce variation, achieve predictable results, and improve outcomes for patients, health care systems, and organizations.
About Patient Experience:
The sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization's culture that influence patients' perceptions across the continuum of care.
About Risk Management:
The clinical and administrative systems, processes, and reports employed to detect, monitor, assess, and mitigate to prevent risks.

“The ‘Hacks’ are not full ‘beginners’ or ‘intermediate’ classes, but more like helpful tricks and tips. The Excel Basics class is for anyone who has little to no experience with Excel. You can choose to attend any or all of the classes. Invitations will be sent to everyone who signed up in advance. You will need access to a computer that has Excel installed. The version of Excel isn’t important. Please note, this is NOT PAID TIME! Do NOT put this time on your timecard. Please email Megan Atkins to sign up for the class or for more information.
