  • Keep your project on track with clash detection. Learn more about our virtual design coordination capabilities. 100% of Shapiro & Duncan projects use BIM (building information modeling).
  • See how our Virtual Design Coordination team provided solutions to the following challenges:
During a   design-assist project, our team had an added responsibility of working with a design team, county plan reviewers, and inspectors to modify the complex mechanical system. Keeping code compliant was especially challenging when it came to the below grade plumbing work.

Our first challenge on a recent healthcare facility project was completing field coordination for the 1st three levels of the building. Secondly, the building provided several design changes required to accommodate existing conditions.

S&D Lays Ground Work to Train Future with In-House Training

How are we solving our workforce shortage and lack of qualified craftspeople?

1) It starts at the drawing board. Ask your field employees what they need.
2) Assign a champion, in our case, an experienced enthusiastic Foreman.
2) Build a mobile training facility.
3) Bring training in-house for specialization and develop a curriculum.
4) Assign mentors.
5) Track results and get feedback.  Read more here.
