Transportation: OMYA Material Production Services

As you may know, OMYA has a quarry in Middlebury. The limestone there contains the purest deposit of calcium carbonate in the world and has a life expectancy of over 100 years! It’s used for everything from paper production to sheetrock to pharmaceutical use.
We have been working out of this quarry for over 5 years now. Our contract involves first loading our trucks with a special crushed blend, each load measured to exact standards - bravo to our operators! We then use our LNG trucks to transport to Florence, where we work 24/7 365 days a year to keep the hoppers loaded so that OMYA can keep processing.
Over the last 4 years, our OMYA team has driven over 4.5 million miles and loaded and hauled over 4 million tons of aggregate. As with all of our work, this project is safety sensitive and we are nearly accident and injury free over that period, which is an astounding accomplishment.
Keep up the great work team, and always remember Safety Joe's Motto:
Luck runs out, but safety lasts a lifetime!

[
Fun Fact: LNG is the cleanest burning fuel available. LNG produces 20% less carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions than diesel and the combustion does not emit
soot, dust or fumes.

"I wanted to take a minute and let you know the Casella Construction crew laying the water line on Michaels' Drive have been great to work with. They are professional, polite and extremely courteous. My wife wants to buy a bunch of pizzas to treat them for lunch. Casella should hear how lucky they are to have such quality people representing their business!!"
-Doug, Bennington, VT
Great job to the Gokey crew and our entire team in Bennington!
