BOOST YOUR TECHNOLOGY GRANT

Adopting New Technology

A grant system meant to help SME’s adopt new technologies to increase competitiveness and resilience.

 

Three components:

 

GRANT TO HIRE AN ADVISOR

Up to 90% of costs for retaining the services of a digital advisor, to a maximum of $15,000 per SME.


0% INTEREST LOAN TO ACQUIRE TECHNOLOGY

Access to a 0% interest loan of up to $100,000 from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to facilitate the acquisition of new technology.


WAGE SUBSIDY TO HIRE:

Opportunity to hire a youth to support the implementation of a digital adoption plan. Businesses will receive a wage subsidy of up to $7,300 through the funded work placement.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

Eligible business can leverage this grant to pay for the services of a digital advisor up to $15,000 and access an interest free loan of up to $100,000 to acquire and implement new technologies.


Before applying, your business must meet all of the following eligibility criteria:


Be incorporated federally or provincially, or be a Canadian resident sole proprietor

Be a for-profit, privately owned business.


Have between 1 – 499 full time equivalent employees.


Have at least $500,000 of annual revenues in one of the previous three tax years

WAGE SUBSIDY

Hiring Youth

Annual call for applications now OPEN until January 10th 2024. Financial Support to boost your Workforce through youth job placement.

JOB GRANT

Training Your Employees

A grant to invest in training for your employees, up to $10 000/per employee


Maintain Ontario's competitive advantage, and helping businesses and workers adapt to change and achieve their goals.

 

Does your company need to roll out training to some of your employees? Investing in training for your existing employees helps you stay competitive while enhancing their skills and knowledge.


By building up education and training, you stay competitive while enhancing your employee’s skills and knowledge. 


Objective:

To offset training costs for small, medium and large businesses that plan to deliver training by an eligible third party trainer to existing and new employees:


In support of your business’s commitment to invest alongside this grant by contributing one-sixth of the total cost if they have less than 100 employees or one-half of the total cost if they have more than 100 employees.


Centre for Skills Development is supporting this initiative by accepting applications from Peel and Halton companies.
