Commute.org Employer E-News
September 2019
Peace of mind. Delivered.
Do you want to be greener but don’t know where to start? Here’s a good first step: take transit! Taking a bus, train, or ferry to work significantly reduces your carbon footprint. But don’t just take our word for it, give it a try! We at Commute.org can help employees easily make the switch. Here's how:

If you take transit to work, and you experience a qualified emergency, we will guarantee you a ride home in many circumstances. Consider it your commute insurance. Consider it an additional benefit . Check the eligibility list for details. Our program covers carpool and vanpool riders as well. It’s your time, so why waste it driving alone in traffic?

In order to claim your Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH), first sign up for STAR at my.commute.org. Make sure to log your trips regularly in our STAR platform, and when an emergency arises (it happens, we know), you decide how to get home quickest. If your employees are not already covered by a similar program, we are your GRH provider for San Mateo County.

So, keep up the alternative commuting with the peace of mind that you are covered in the event of an emergency, and leave the car at home. Your ride awaits.

Get the word out! Contact the employer team ( Cary Tipton or Rebecca Roberts) for more information, we have materials available for your onboarding packets and brochure racks!

Spare The Air TDM Benchmarking Survey
Would you like to know how your commuter benefits program stacks up compared to your peers and competitors? Take the Employer Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Benchmarking Survey and find out!

Commute.org is part of the San Mateo County Spare the Air Resource Team, representatives from businesses, CBO’s and local agencies, who work together to promote clean air commute alternatives in San Mateo County. There are nine Spare the Air Resource Teams in the Bay Area.

The Spare the Air Resource Teams are working to help employers of all shapes and sizes learn about, and implement, TDM best practices. Please help us help you by completing this benchmarking survey. You can receive a copy of the final report to see how your organization’s commuter benefits compare. The data will also help the Spare the Air Resource Teams focus their efforts on projects that are relevant to employers within each Bay Area county.

Your responses will be kept confidential; the final report will not include your name or your organization's name. To receive a copy of the final report, please provide your contact information.

When you provide your contact information, you will also be entered into a random drawing for a $100 VISA card !

Your contact information will ONLY be used for purposes of the prize drawing and to share a copy of the final report with you.
For tips to help you tee-up the survey, see the attached PDF or click here.
