We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Luthier to join our team, specializing in fretting,
assembly, and finishing. This role requires a blend of mechanical precision and logical
problem-solving to ensure each instrument meets the highest standards of quality, performance,
and playability.
Responsibilities
Fretting:
● Install, level, crown, and polish frets with precision using specialized tools
● Ensure proper fret seating, eliminating any dead spots or sharp edges
● Use mechanical reasoning to assess fretboard relief, neck geometry, and overall fret
stability
● Diagnose and resolve fret-related issues affecting playability
Assembly:
● Fit and align guitar necks and bodies with exacting tolerances
● Install hardware, including tuners, bridges, and nuts, ensuring proper mechanical
function
● Assemble and solder electronics, including pickups, pots, switches, and output jacks
● Use logical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical or electronic issues
● Perform full setups, including action and intonation adjustments, truss rod tuning, and
nut slot shaping
Finishing:
● Sand and prep instruments for finishing, ensuring a flawless, even surface
● Apply finishes such as lacquer, polyurethane, or oil-based coatings with consistency
● Buff and polish finishes to achieve a high-quality, professional appearance
● Inspect for finish imperfections and correct defects using precise mechanical techniques
