Dear Friends,

This month, we shine a light on a critical issue affecting young people in our community: teen dating violence. Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, and communication, yet many teens experience emotional, physical, or digital abuse. Raising awareness is essential because early education and open conversations can help prevent abuse, empower young people to recognize warning signs, and connect them to support when needed.

Today at Valley Oasis: Teen Dating Violence Awareness Events

  1. Teen Dating Violence Webinar - Open to all! Learn how to recognize healthy versus unhealthy relationships, spot early warning signs of dating abuse, and discover ways to support teens while promoting safe and respectful connections.
  2. Cookies and Conversations - Teens and parents are invited to a hands-on session exploring real-life scenarios, discussing healthy relationship dynamics, and participating in interactive activities, all while enjoying cookies and conversation.

Both events aim to equip our community with the knowledge and tools to foster safe, healthy, and respectful relationships for young people.

Sharing Messages of Love with Our Participants

This month, our Housing and Homeless Services team took a moment to share messages of love, encouragement, and hope with the individuals and families we serve. Each note was crafted with care, offering words of support to remind our participants that they are not alone and that their courage, strength, and resilience are recognized and celebrated.

These small gestures carry big meaning, helping to brighten days, lift spirits, and strengthen the sense of community that is at the heart of everything we do. By sending these messages, we aim to create moments of connection and affirmation, reinforcing that every participant is valued, seen, and supported on their journey.

It's a simple act, but one that embodies our mission to nurture, heal, and renew those we serve with compassion and care.
