The YANA-Dwight Hall Fellowship supports summer internships for undergraduate or recent graduates pursuing social impact work.

YANA can now award THREE of the SIX summer

fellowships requested!

With your help, YANA supports students working in organizations that are tackling challenges such as refugee and immigrant services, access to healthcare, education equity, public housing, and social justice.

Many Yale students are unable to participate in unfunded public sector or social impact summer internships without our financial assistance.

These Yale students demonstrate passion and leadership for advancing social change, a desire for a career in public service, and are unable to accept a nonprofit internship without financial support.

Gifts or pledges totaling $15,000 are needed by March 22 to ensure the six fellowships requested.

2023 YANA-Dwight Hall Summer Fellow

Since I interned at Saint Joseph Parenting Center last summer, I have noticed how the varying causes and effects of child abuse and neglect all contribute to generational poverty. SJPC has opened my eyes to how child abuse and neglect create barriers to equal access to education. I definitely plan to continue to assist in solutions to the challenges I have observed, if not towards child abuse and neglect specifically, then to the larger issue of how the lack of access to education contributes to generational poverty.
