You know better than anyone: entrepreneurship starts with an idea — and the courage to try. That’s why we’ve launched Milwaukee Makers, a blog dedicated to celebrating the creativity, hustle, and fresh perspective of local teens and college-age students who are exploring what it means to start something of their own.
Now, we’re asking for your help.
Do you know a student who’s always brainstorming new ideas? Someone who started a side hustle, helps with the family business, or just thinks like an innovator? We’d love to hear their stories.
Milwaukee Makers is looking for original blog posts written by high school and college-age students in the Milwaukee area. Posts should be around 800 words, written in a student’s own voice, and reflect their experience, advice, or entrepreneurial dreams. This isn’t about business plans or formal pitches — it’s about real stories, fresh ideas, and the spirit of making something new.
Topics could include:
· A business idea they’ve tried or want to try
· A project, product, or service they’re proud of
· What leadership, innovation, or risk means to them
· Lessons they’ve learned from helping in a business
· What they imagine for their future
Our goal is to give young people a platform and to inspire others in the process. Who better to open that door than you — the business owners who’ve already walked the path?
Please share this opportunity with the young people in your life — children, interns, employees, neighbors, students. Encourage them to write and remind them that their voice matters.
