Felton Institute uplifts women clients who persevered and worked hard to attain success in their fields.

Adama Bryant, Executive Director of Weekend Adventures, is a graduate of Felton's OEWD (Office of Economic & Workforce Development) Skilling Up cohort.

Christina Zeigler was a client at Felton's former Pier 94 program and received her food handler's certification through this. Now, she's come back to the place that helped her get on her feet and is learning to prep cook alongside Chef Wilona Harrell of Felton's Mother Brown's Kitchen.

Japanese Academics at Mount Tamalpais College

Group Photo with Japanese University Professors

Justice Services Division Director Curtis Penn was invited to Mount Tamalpais College (MTC) to meet with visiting university professors from Japan who are researching education in correctional settings.

The professors hailed from Komazawa University, Seijo University, Ryu Kyu University, and Chiba University. They are part of a cross-university group exploring the possibility of introducing college programs in Japanese prisons.

Their focus was on how MTC alumni have applied what they learned as incarcerated college students since returning home.

We are excited to share our latest video highlighting the Justice Division’s groundbreaking programs and services.

Following CEO, Al Gilbert’s vision, the Justice Services Division was created in 2020, adding to the already established 5 divisions at Felton Institute. Filming, which began in May of 2022, followed the expansion of our fastest growing division. By December 2023, a year and a half later, the decision was made to stop filming and wrap up our video as new programs continued to be added and “we could film forever.”
