ACC Student Affairs Logo

Dear Student Affairs Team,

We’re excited to announce the launch of our revamped Student Affairs Professional Development website! This platform was designed with you—our dedicated Student Affairs employees—in mind, serving as your go-to resource for professional development programs, essential training support, onboarding tools, and more.

Why This Matters

In Spring 2023, a collaborative effort across Student Affairs staff and leadership laid the groundwork for our development programs. Together, we’ve worked to strengthen our division’s culture while aligning with ACC’s Core Values: Courage, Compassion, Joy, and Yes. This website is another step forward in our shared commitment to professional growth, leadership development, and team collaboration.

Since that groundwork began, we have:

  • Established a Manager for Staff Coaching and Team Development to guide growth initiatives.
  • Launched the Culture Reboot for Student Affairs employees.
  • Developed Employee Onboarding Tools and Training to support supervisors.
  • Recruited Training Fellows to facilitate learning opportunities and platforms.
  • Began redesigning the onboarding experience to ensure all new Student Affairs employees feel welcomed, valued, and supported from day one.

I want to give a huge thank you and shoutout to Martha Dorow and Belinda Peña, two of our Student Affairs Training Fellows, for their leadership and effort in bringing this new site to life! Their dedication and hard work made this platform possible, ensuring it truly serves each of us within Student Affairs.

Whether you are a supervisor guiding a new team or a staff member looking for growth opportunities, this site is built to empower you in your journey. We encourage you to explore, engage, and take full advantage of available resources. Our aim is to continue building with you in mind. To achieve that, we’ve created a space for continuous feedback for you to share your thoughts on how we can continue to grow and evolve alongside you.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our students, our division, and each other.

Sincerely,

Ana Rummer
