HomeAid Atlanta’s mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

It's Care Day Season Again!

Every year, HomeAid hosts ten or more Care Days, volunteer workdays providing free-of-charge maintenance and repairs for locations serving people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Spring and fall are unoffically "Care Day Season," when HomeAid volunteers complete the majority of these events.

Read about our most recent Care Days below. HomeAid has at least three more Care Days planned for the remainder of the year, for a total of 14 or more completed in 2024.

Care Day at International Women's House (IWH)

One of two Care Days held on September 13, HomeAid led a Care Day at International Women's House. Strack, Inc. participated as part of their "Strack Gives Back" service initiative, as well as Professional Women in Building-Atlanta Chapter, as part of National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Professional Women in Building Week. IWH provides a safe haven and supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.

Care Day at St.Vincent de Paul

HomeAid partnered with Toll Brothers for a Care Day, also on September 13, at St. Vincent de Paul Georgia. Volunteers built a new checkout counter, added a cart corral, and rearranged shelving to allow St. Vincent de Paul Georgia to serve more people with their food pantry. Peachtree Custom Cabinetry, Construction Resources, and Accurate Fence also donated labor and materials in support of this Care Day. St. Vincent de Paul provides access to resources that foster personal and economic stability and self-sufficiency.

Care Day at

Calvary Children's Home

Founded in 1966, Calvary Children’s Home is a home for children in the Metro Atlanta area who need to live apart from their families. On September 20th, volunteers from CBRE and Regions Bank came together to tackle landscaping needs, building Christmas tree stands for Calvary's winter fundraiser, and sorting and organizing a large donation for their food pantry.
