SCTPO Launches Transportation System Preferences Survey
The SCTPO wants to know about your transportation system preferences! In 2018, we launched our 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan kick-off survey to get feedback on the types of improvements desired.

Now, we're seeking your input on where our  limited transportation funds  will be spent. It's time to voice your vision for the Space Coast!

Take our survey to share your input on what transportation choices are most important to you.

Access the survey  here  or visit  www.voiceyourvisionbrevard.com . Paper surveys are available upon request by calling 321-690-6890.

FDOT Releases Updated Guide to Safe Mobility for Life
The Florida Department of Transportation’s Safe Mobility for Life Coalition has released an updated guide to help older adults in Florida
meet their personal mobility needs and remain safe, independent, and active in their communities.

The guide has information about community and statewide transportation resources, safety tips, and rules for sharing the road to help drivers, walkers, bicyclists, transit riders, and motorcyclists be proactive about their mobility. It also includes self-assessments and worksheets to help learn how to plan for life beyond the driver’s seat.
Drive Merry, Bright, and Sober This Holiday Season
This holiday season, the SCTPO is teaming up with the U.S. DOT's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to remind all drivers about the dangers of drinking and driving. The holidays prove to be extra dangerous to drivers, as more people — drivers and pedestrians alike — are out on the roads.

According to NHTSA, 885 people lost their lives in traffic crashes involving a drunk driver during the month of December 2017 alone. This holiday season, and every day, remember:  Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving.
The  Space Coast TPO  would like to wish you and your families a safe, happy holiday season and a joyful new year!

As we look back on the past year, we want to recognize our state and federal partners, elected officials, city and county staff, modal agencies, and community members for their continued support and involvement in transportation planning. Don't forget to #stayalert on our roadways during this busy time of year.
