Many know CA from our former name, Commonwealth Autism. In 2018 we underwent a name change and rebrand to reflect our commitment to our Core Values: innovation, flexibility, collaboration, best practices, and transparency. We've grown a lot since our humble beginnings in 1995, and that is by design. CA Human Services believes in closing the gaps for Virginians with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our goals is to empower the person and the communities who serve them. When our work has been successful, it is then time to move forward to fill other gaps. There is a lot to do in Virginia but together, we can make our communities stronger and more inclusive.
Today is July 13, the middle of 2021, which is the start of CA's Fiscal Year. In looking toward the future, CA Human Services is laser focused on closing the gaps in Virginia. This means for the foreseeable future we are concentrating our efforts for advocating, creating and enabling change around Providers and Caregivers, Adults in Transition, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Populations, Virginians who Lack Access, and Inclusive Preschools. We never said it would be easy, but we do know it will be worth it! Our hope is partnership with you, your organization(s) and communities. Together, we can do more.
