Every Drop Counts: Simple Ways to Save Water

A tree, bushes, and sign that says 'water saving tips'

Conserving water lowers utility bills and supports the City’s Climate Action Plan by reducing demand for water resources and preparing our community for a changing climate.

Tips to Save Water:

☔️ Let the rain water your lawn— turn off sprinklers during the wet season!

🍽️ Run your dishwasher with full loads

🚰 Drips add up fast! A leaky toilet can waste over 200 gallons of water per day so be sure to check for and fix leaks regularly

🌧️ Collect rainwater for outdoor use

💧 Consider installing a graywater system

🌿 Mulch your yard to hold moisture and replace high-water-use plants with native and drought-tolerant alternatives. Keep an eye out for City-hosted free mulch and compost distribution events!

Saving water daily helps protect our local water supply year-round! 💙🌊
