ENCORE ENGAGEMENT ENTERPRISE (E3)

Last fall, Ms. B (who requested to remain anonymous) contacted the E3 staff for assistance pulling together a resume. Ann worked with her to identify her goal, assemble her work history, and compose a summary focused on her targeted job. Now she had her first resume ever!

During a discussion with Simone McNitt, they determined the best path to her goal would be through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) administered at Fairhill by NCBA. Because she wanted to get into a career in art therapy, but had only minimal training in the field, this training program was an excellent next step.

Arrangements were made with both NCBA and the Art Therapy Studio, a nonprofit agency also housed in the Fairhill building, to create a part-time role that would give her the experience and hands-on training to pursue a career in the field.

Now she’s working, learning, and enjoying her job. She says, "I believe Fairhill Partners are guardian angels, who partner with you, no matter where you find yourself in life and help you to find your way. And I will always be eternally grateful."

How Gardening Can Prevent Osteoporosis
