Request a tribal consultation for the industrial hemp provisions in the 2018 Farm Bill
T he U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA-AMS) is quickly approaching its deadline to release new regulations related to the industrial hemp provisions in the 2018 Farm Bill.

The Native Farm Bill Coalition and other tribal organizations believe direct and specific tribal consultation between the agency and tribal leaders is needed to ensure all tribal stakeholders eagerly awaiting participation in a new economic development opportunity are able to participate in drafting regulations.         
You can help us encourage the USDA-AMS to host a tribal consultation by submitting a request in writing. To assist you in requesting a tribal consultation, the Coalition has drafted this template letter.
