Serving and equipping our churches to fulfill the Great Commission.
SYBA Annual Meeting - Don't Miss It!
I am so looking forward to our upcoming SYBA annual meeting at Troutman Baptist Church, especially because we missed gathering last year!

We will be starting off with a Missions Fair (5:30 - 6:25 pm) featuring over 20 organizations - a number of them first time guests! This is a great opportunity to learn more about which ones you or your church might consider being involved in.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. Our featured speaker this year is Chuck Lawless (click here for more info). Chuck is a fantastic resource to our pastors and other church leaders. He will be sharing on the topic Impacting Lostness in a Changing Culture, truly relevant. We will be challenged with some new ideas on how to better impact our community.

SYBA Ministry Coordinator, Mary Jane Hoover, will share about the success of SYBA community ministries, and I will share about other exciting events taking place in the upcoming year. We have a few business items to take care of, including next year's budget, welcoming Grace Point as a full member of the SYBA, and inviting the brand-new church plant Resurrection Church into our watch care program. It is so awesome to see God’s Kingdom grow!

So come experience our Missions Fair, help us take care of some SYBA business, worship the Lord with some music, and be challenged on how to spread the Word of God. See you on August 17th!

Blessings!
Rev. Noel Williamson
Executive Director, SYBA

NC Baptists Challenged to "Fill the tank" on Sept 12
What if we could see multitudes of believers publicly profess Christ through believer's baptism on a single day? That's the heartbeat behind the "Fill the Tank" baptism emphasis on Sunday, Sept. 12. A number of resources are available to assist you in this effort. Many are linked below, which is where you can also register your church's commitment. Will you "Fill the Tank" on Sept. 12?

Baptists on Mission invites all men to a one-day equipping conference designed to help men develop a closer walk with Christ. You will enjoy challenging messages from two keynote speakers, Rex Tignor – nationally known men’s ministry advocate, and Tom Joyce – pastor, retired Navy captain, and survivor of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. The IHM Conference will include 16 breakout sessions led by men’s leaders from organizations such as Man in the Mirror, Family Life, Every Man a Warrior, Just Stand Firm, Iron Sharpens Iron, and others!. Topics will include fatherhood, marriage, anger management, making Godly life choices, leadership, discipling men, grand-fatherhood, mentoring young men, missions involvement, accountability, and more! The conference will also feature a special time of prayer and remembrance for those we lost during the 9/11 attack on our country on the 20 year anniversary of that tragic day.

Mobilize to Share Christ's Love
2021 SYBA Fair Ministry Wednesday
September 1 - Saturday September 11

This ministry is a great opportunity for our SYBA church members to show Jesus’ love and share God’s Message to the traveling fair workers! You will be blessed by serving those who are working at our local fair; they bring joy to our families with the rides and games. Let's share joy with them by providing a home cooked meal served with a smile!

Some commitments are still needed for meals and hygiene items. Please contact Mary Jane Hoover at 704 873-4372, ext. 3 or mhoover@sybaptist.org for additional information, or to commit to providing and serving a meal or donating hygience items.
Time to Fill Backpacks!

Filled backpacks or backpack supplies may be delivered to the SYBA offices anytime between now and the end of October. Volunteers will be making sure we have enough items to fill all of the backpacks needed.

Note: November 11-13, 2021 has been reserved for the delivery of these backpacks.

Please contact Mary Jane Hoover at 704.873.4372 x 3 or mhoover@sybaptist.org to arrange delivery times.

Questions? Contact Mary Jordan at 704-682-3994 or dmmrd@bellsouth.net.
Pastor Lunch & Learns
The Pastor's Lunch and Learns are just a few weeks away.

The goal of these lunches, sponsored by Baptists on Mission, is to encourage churches to involve their members in missions through some of the opportunities offered by Baptists on Mission. We will also share briefly about the importance of the NC Missions Offering, which many churches collect in September, but the focus will be on networking and on the ministries (Disaster Relief, Rebuild, Mission Camps, Dental and Health Screening, State, National and International Partnerships, and other ways for churches to be personally involved in missions).

August 4 - Charlotte ( Hickory Grove)
August 5 - Greensboro (Piedmont Association)

Pastors, staff, and missions leaders can register by clicking here.
Regional Rallies
Baptists on Mission also will host a series of Regional Mission Rallies across the state to highlight the variety of opportunities NC Baptists have to be involved in missions across our state, in our nation, and around the world. Featured will be worship, testimonies, mission videos, and a prayer time for missions. Everyone interested in missions is encouraged to attend. A main focus of these rallies will be state, national, international partnerships and projects (including Disaster Relief) and the NC Missions Offering.

A meal is provided for the NC Mission Rallies at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The cut-off date for reserving a meal for each Rally is one week prior to the event. To register, click here.

Our Mission
Our Mission is to Serve & Equip Our Churches to Fulfill the Great Commission.

Our Vision
Our vision is to serve our South Yadkin Baptist Association churches so they fulfill the Great Commission. We aspire to design services and tools specific to their needs to equip them to serve Christ effectively, fulfill their calling to disciple and reach those unchurched in our community. We aspire to bring value to our churches and help them to be a do all that God has called of them for His kingdom.

Our Values
Our five values of the South Yadkin Baptist Association define the way we do ministry together as a network of churches. The drive behind our values is a solid faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to fulfill our calling to serve, equip, encourage and care for our churches, pastors and their staff.

Partner in Prayer
We encourage and pray for our pastors, churches and unchurched friends through planned events and systems to pray corporately, in small groups and through our prayer network.

Encourage Pastors
We appreciate our pastors and will give care, personal visits and consistent contact with associational leaders to affirm their ministry in the local church.

Do More Together
We engage our churches in relationship with each other to network on initiatives to build the body of Christ and proclaim the name of Christ in our community and wherever God leads.

Help Fulfill Ministry Needs
We help, provide and assist churches with resources to fulfill their mission and help them minister to needs.

Mobilize to Share Christ's Love
We mobilize churches to share the gospel with unchurched friends in our community, some of whom will accept Christ as Savior.
