ENCOURAGEMENT IN DISCOURAGING TIMES
May 2020

If the enemy can discourage the Church he is well on his way to defeating her, but if the church can stay encouraged and see the positive throughout discouraging times she will foil the plans of satan.

BE BOLD AND BELIEVE

Many of our plans for this month (just as it has been for almost everyone throughout the world during this corona crisis)were cancelled. However, we did attempt to do whatever we could virtually in order to salvage certain events and stay connected. One of those virtual events was a webinar entitled “Be Bold and Believe” for Christian entrepreneurs. We had over 40 people in attendance and it was a very encouraging time for all as they met, encouraged each other, and shared ideas on how to make it through this difficult season. Some seasoned entrepreneurs shared their testimonies of how God has seen them through previous financial crises. Knowing that God has not been surprised and that he is the same yesterday, today and forever is a comfort in times of crisis.

BE WILLING TO TARRY

The first Sunday in May marked our first Sunday back to church, and it was so wonderful to be back together worshiping collectively. About 75% of our people were in attendance and we were exceptionally encouraged. God placed it on Mario’s heart to call the church to an all- night prayer meeting that Friday night. At 9pm people began arriving, some physically, some over Zoom and for several hours we worshiped and prayed seeking God to shake our nation and awaken our hearts. God always moves in a special way after all night- prayer meetings.
