Call for Martini Glasses

Monet Davis hosted one of our most popular Pick-a-Parties. It involved martinis and a souvenir martini glass. She is asking to borrow your souvenir glass to create a sculpture for the art show in November. If you will let her borrow your glass for a short time it would be a great help. Contact Monet at davis.family@cox.net.

WHO MAKES DECISIONS AROUND HERE?

From time to time we will introduce you to members of Shadow Rock's governing board. We thank them for their service!

Peter Johnston

I started attending Shadow Rock 25 years ago in 1998.

I was born and raised in England and moved to the USA with my family, Linda and Steve, in 1982.

Chris, the true American in the family, was born in 1983. Linda and I became naturalized Americans some years later. Steve remains a “Brit”.

I am an electrical engineer and retired from corporate life in 2015 only to begin a new business life focusing on clean energy engineering consulting and energy education aimed at K-12 schools in Arizona. Although retired, I seem to be working more hours than I ever did in my pre-retirement days!

I have been one of the ushers at Shadow Rock for ?? years and was one of the original “Dancing Ushers”.

I love Shadow Rock because of its up-beat services which give me a feeling of well being when I leave the sanctuary on a Sunday morning.

Janice Shaldjian Morrison. Born in Niagara Falls, NY. Second generation Armenian American. Moved to Phx when I was 10 years old. Graduated college, got married, have 2 sons. Masters in Ed Administration. Favorite job ever is when I taught high school for ten years. Have attended Shadow Rock for almost 8 years. Became very involved in NARANON and became an advocate for people with substance use disorder. Have 3 lovely grandchildren that live in Japan with my eldest son and his wife. And I feel so grateful to be a part of Shadow Rock UCC.
