Greetings!
Cedar and RJ have found community, family and wellness at the Y, which provides them with financial assistance for their membership. Activity keeps an auto immune disorder from flaring up for Cedar and keeps RJ's lower back healthy.
They represent one of the many reasons why the Y offers financial support: to ensure everyone has access to fitness activities that serve as early preventative care to prevent disease, illness and ailments.
When the Y is one of your charitable giving priorities, you help create opportunities for ALL in our community to learn, grow and thrive. Please consider the Y during your end-of-year giving. Thank you!

Tri with the Y Triathlon
"I love that the Y has given me the opportunity to participate in a triathlon. I never have before because I am neither a runner nor fast in my exercise choices. I am very pleased that the Y offers conversions so that my water aerobics class counts for laps and my power walking counts for running. Of course, giving me 3 months to complete my chosen level of competition gives me a challenge to work toward and a feeling of strength. I like being part of a community that values being healthy through exercise—at any age." —Clare

From the ground up: New Y Construction Update
The new YMCA has now been under construction for roughly four and a half months. Over the past few weeks, the concrete slabs for much of the first floor have been poured, including the critical pour of the slab for the gymnasium. In this image the area in yellow is where the locker rooms will be located. This concrete will be poured the first week of November. Throughout November the community will really start to see progress on the YMCA as the walls start rising up. We are about 13 months away from opening the new YMCA!
