Dear Trinity Church,

Over the last three months, you have allowed me to shepherd this congregation with faithful trust and support, and over those three months we have celebrated great achievements! From our 185 years of ministry on this island to a phenomenal week of Vacation Bible School, we have been faithful to God's call to us. Each Sunday you have faithfully shown up and shined as a bright beacon of God's love to this island, and for that I am forever thankful. You allowed me to grow as a pastor and priest in ways that I could never have imagined, so thank you for allowing me to be present and to care for each one of you.

This Sunday marks the return of Jimmy from his sabbatical, and to celebrate his return, you are all invited to join us in Eaton Hall for a special welcome home after our 10:30 service! I am looking forward to hearing stories of his adventures and to being able to hear his pastoral words as he returns. I am also looking forward to an eventful remainder of the year as we begin to ramp up for school and Sunday school and all that the fall entails for us!

I look forward to seeing you all Sunday,

Yours in Christ,

Chase

First Day of School - Wednesday, August 12th!

Monday, August 10 - Parent Orientation

6:00pm - Trinity Episcopal Church

A short program will be presented, followed by presentations by division, which parents will attend according to their preferences/needs. Please remember that this event is designed for parents, not for students.

Please note the following times and locations for the division meetings:

Beginning School: Parents will remain in the Church from 6:30-7:00.

Lower School: Parents will travel to individual classrooms for one of two sessions. Session 1 is from 6:30-7:00 followed by Session 2 from 7:00-7:30.

Middle School: NEWFrom 6:30-7:30, parents will rotate through each of their child's classrooms to meet teachers and learn about curriculum, classroom expectations, and the year ahead.

New to Trinity?  If so, on Monday, August 10, please stop by Lower Eaton Hall from 5:30 – 5:50 on your way to the Parent Orientation. Lower Eaton Hall is located on 22nd Street, across the lawn from the Church.

Tuesday, August 11

Meet & Greet for all families on Tuesday, August 11 from 9:00-10:00.

Parents and students from all divisions can visit classrooms, drop off supplies, set up lockers, etc or just visit to make a social connection. Feel free to stop by with your student for a quick peek into where their class will be located and say hello to their new teacher(s).

This should go a long way to reduce that "first-day anxiety" and build excitement and positivity heading into Wednesday morning. Please know that there is no presentation or program and, of course, no problem if families are unable to attend.

Wednesday, August 12 - First Day of School

The carpool line will be active, but parents are welcome to park and walk in on the first day. A reception following drop-off will be available in Lower Eaton, so please join us to see returning families and meet parents new to Trinity.

The mission of Trinity Episcopal School is to nurture and educate children in a God-centered environment, filling hearts and minds with a passion for learning, a strong moral foundation, a commitment to social responsibility, and respect for all people.
