End of School Year Updates
from Texas College Bridge
As we approach the end of this school year, we want to provide you with additional resources to support your students’ completion of Texas College Bridge courses, including expanded drop-in office hours for live support from mid-May through early June.
Summer Schedule

The final day for students to complete work in EdReady for the 2021-2022 school year will be Friday, July 29

Following that date, Texas College Bridge courses will be offline and unavailable from July 30 – August 8 while we transition to the 2022-2023 school year.

Any students who return to Texas College Bridge in the fall will be starting the year with a clean slate: this allows students to retake the initial diagnostic for each Stage so that their study path can accurately reflect their current incoming knowledge.

Please note that completion needs to be posted to the student transcript PRIOR to graduation. If a senior completes courses in the summer, they will need to be a summer grad.
Expanded Live Help Hours

We are expanding live office help hours from mid-May to early-June, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays in addition to our regular Thursday hours:

Tuesdays, May 17, 24 and 31:
3:00 - 4:30 pm CT

Wednesdays, May 18, 25 and June 1:
9:00 -10:30 am CT

Thursdays, May 19, 26 and June 2:
3:30 - 4:30 pm CT

The full schedule and the meeting link can be found in the Help Center here.
Reminder: English Essay Completion

For those of you with English course students, please remember that in order to complete the course your students must also complete the essay assignment.

We currently have close to 5,500 students who are only needing their essay completed to earn their Certificate of Completion for English.

Please remind your instructors that the essay assignment is not created in EdReady. Instructors are responsible for assigning and grading the essay, then posting the essay grade in EdReady.

Details for instructors can be found in the Help Center here.
How to View Completion in Reports: Group Summary Report

The easiest and best way to view student completion through Reports Help is to run a Group Summary report. This report lets you see your students’ course details in a single consolidated view and can be viewed online or exported to an Excel file for offline viewing.

A video and step-by-step instructions on how to access a Group Summary report are available on the Help Center here.
Additional Resources: College & Career Support
In addition to our unique college prep courses in math and English, Texas College Bridge is committed to providing additional resources that can help you provide the holistic support that students need to succeed in their postsecondary journeys.

We hope you have found our email series on our College & Career Support module interesting and informative.

Encourage your students to explore all eight modules of College & Career Support here.

For instructors, we also offer the College & Career Support eLearning course developed by TEA, TexasOnCourse and CollegeForward here.
Correction: College Partners Continuing the Accept Texas College Bridge for TSI Waivers

We have received a few reports of students hearing that Texas College Bridge course completion will no longer be given a TSI waiver at participating college partners after this July. This information is incorrect.

To clarify what is happening: Beginning fall 2022, Texas College Bridge can no longer be used for dual credit purposes. Completion of Texas College Bridge courses will continue to be accepted for a TSI waiver for students enrolling in their first semester of college after graduation from high school.

If you hear of any further misinformation on this issue, please let us know so that we can clear up any misperceptions concerning TSI waiver acceptance among our partners.
Coming Soon: Information on Automation of Certificates of Completion

Be on the lookout for a separate email about the automation of the Certificate of Completion process.

Information on the process update also will be posted in our online Help Center.
