What's New & Upcoming at Your Library
August 2019
End of Summer Extravaganza
A fun free evening with Sno-Cones, kids activities, glitter tattoos & more on Friday, August 16!

The Edmund Fitzgerald: The Stories, The Song
In June 2017, the Howell Carnegie Library hosted an event entitled  101 Things That Happened On the Mackinac Bridge . It was presented by Mike Fornes to a packed crowd in the Library’s Meabon Room. Mr. Fornes is an engaging, knowledgeable speaker and it only makes sense: as a journalist, Mike Fornes covered the Mackinac Bridge for over 20 years, has written two books about it (plus a few more on the US Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw), and has given over 2,000 tours of the bridge!
New this year: use the ReadSquared app to register and/or log your reading easily all summer long.
Friday, August 16 is the last day to log your reading & pick up prizes!

Teens & Adults: enter all tickets for the Grand Prize Drawings by 11:59pm!! Winners will be notified on Monday, August 19.
