Dear Neighbor,

The summer has flown by and Labor Day weekend is here already!

In observance of Labor Day, my office will close at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 29th and will remain closed on Monday, September 1st, re-opening at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Further, trash removal services will be slightly delayed due to the Labor Day holiday, and all 43rd Ward waste hauling services will be completed by Wednesday afternoon. Recycling services will shortly follow and be completed by Thursday afternoon.

Even though the summer is drawing to a close, there are many wonderful community events coming up.  See you there and enjoy the long weekend!
Shop Local at Lincoln Park Local

On Thursday, September 4th support your community by shopping local at Lincoln Park Local! From 4pm - 7pm join Swirlz Cupcakes and Johnny's Beef at the 700 block of  Belden.

Sawhorses Available for Events

Thanks to talented 43rd Ward resident Tom Hall, who recently built us ten new barricades for block parties, schools and other special events that periodically happen in our ward.  Another thanks to volunteers who pitched in to paint them!

In the coming days, you'll be seeing some of our new barricades at Oscar Mayer School, but if you are hosting a block party, or need to use the sawhorses for a school, church or community event, please feel free to give our office a call at 773-348-9500 or send us an email at and we'll be happy to lend them out for your event!
