Honoring Don Kirby

On Labor Day the Kingswood family gathered to honor Don Kirby. More than 70 people attended the service led by Jim Moore at Stone Ministry and had a time of fellowship at the barn following the service. If you were unable to join us you can watch the service here.

Don's family is holding a Memorial Service at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew on September 30th from 3-5:30 p.m. The service itself will be in the church from 3-4, followed by a reception in the adjoining hall from 4-5:30. Friends are welcome to come up to the podium and speak at the reception. For those who cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed at the You Tube link below:

Putting Camp "to Bed"

Senior Week: The process began on Labor Day afternoon. Chuck boxes and all the small items from the equipped sites were removed to the barn for cleaning and storage. From Monday through Wednesday a small, but mighty army worked to clean every stove, dish and pot. It's all stored methodically for the winter. Signs are down. Boats, equipment and mattresses are also in the barn.

Take Down Weekend: The weather did not cooperate. It wouldn't be 2023 without some significant rain. Only 4 tents were stored, but all the furniture is under the pavillions. The rest will be taken care of in the near future.

2024 Dates

Every once in.while we have a 9-week season due to the late ending of school and an early Labor Day. This happens in 2024. Our season will run from June 28th through September 2nd. Reservations will open for full week stays beginning January 2nd. Shorter stays can be booked beginning on March 15th.

Survey

We want to hear from you! The survey is still open. We couldn't control the weather, but we had a good time despite all the rain. We want to hear from you about your experiences at Kingswood.

One lucky respondent will receive a free bundle of wood for season 2024.
