NEW 2023 FICA Rates

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that the maximum earnings subject to Social Security tax (Social Security wage base) will increase from $147,000 to $160,200 in 2023 (an increase of $13,200). The maximum Social Security employer contribution will increase $818.40 in 2023.

TRAINING REQUIREMENT

Formerly Senate Bill 75, Public Act 101-0221 was signed into law by Governor Pritzker in August 2019. Under this Act, Illinois employers are required to train employees on sexual harassment prevention by December 31, 2020, and on an annual basis thereafter. Federal Income Tax Credits and Other Incentives for Energy Efficiency

As part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 signed into law on August 16, 2022, residential energy efficiency tax credits have been extended through 2032. This information applies to the existing tax credits for 2022. Changes to residential energy efficiency tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act will become effective starting in 2023.
