New Funding Opportunity

Vehicle Technologies Office Fiscal Year 2021
Research Funding

Concept Papers Due: 2/5/2021
Full Applications Due: 4/7/2021


The U.S. Department of Energy announced up to $60 million in new and innovative advanced vehicle technologies research. This funding supports research that will lead to more affordable, efficient, and secure transportation energy.

This opportunity is funded through the Office of Energy and Efficiency and Renewable Energy and seeks research projects to address priorities in the following areas: batteries and electrification; materials; technology integration and energy-efficient mobility systems; energy-efficient commercial off-road vehicle technologies; and co-optimized advanced engine
NC EV License Plate

Plug-In NC is Gauging Interest in an EV Specialty License Plate
The plate design for the campaign is on the form.


PINC is not asking for full applications and checks just yet — they need to ensure there is enough support first. Eventually, they'll need 500 orders to move forward, though, so please help us spread the word!
