Dear STEM Families,

Thank you for your patience this week as we finalized our end of year plans. Please review the following details for a summary of the remainder of our school year.

Our school year will end on May 28th, as originally planned. However, the classroom format will change as we move into the month of May. Each grade level team will decide when 4th quarter course material will end and when a new “STAYmersion” experience will begin. This learning experience will consist of grade level specific activities and provide opportunities for student exploration, growth, and even some virtual socialization. More details on what activities and expectations look like during this time will be communicated early next week. STAYmersion will be a class listed on the students’ academic history. High school students will receive a ½ credit and grading for middle and high school students will be pass/fail.

We know that you probably have additional questions about the end of the year and beyond. We will be sending out a Frequently Asked Questions list soon to address many of these lingering topics. Keep an eye out for additional communication regarding end of year details. We will, of course, continue to update you as we receive new information from our local and state leadership.

Take care,
