Nick was hired on 9-20-21 and is training with Kevin Chamberlain for his role as Fleet Maintenance Administrative Specialist. Nick comes to us from Formula Ford where he was a service writer for the last 5 years.
Nick will work alongside George in the Pittsford shop, and Kevin will transition into his new role with transportation as the Dispatcher. This process will happen over the next 3 weeks, so let’s start getting Nick involved ASAP.
To reach Nick for any parts, inventory, purchase orders, or DVIR compliance-related information for the Pittsford shop, please call him at 802-210-3105.
Please welcome Nick on board, and be sure to introduce yourself when you are in Pittsford.

The 2021 Rutland Halloween Parade is On!
Can you help us build our float?
Join the fun and help us work on our amazing parade float! We've won trophies at the Rutland Halloween Parade in the past for Most Original and Most Creative - become a part of our winning team this year by coming to help in the construction of this year's float.
Build days are always a fun time. Family members, friends, and significant others are welcome to help, we have music playing and lots of laughs throughout the day!
Rutland Halloween Parade is on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 6:30 pm
We will be building our float on the following days, and would love to have 3-4 people helping each Saturday (times are tentative, and some work will be performed after work and on Sundays as well):
-
Saturday 9/25 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) – Start craft projects (including trees and painting foam board for haunted mansion).
-
Saturday 10/2 (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) – Continue craft projects.
-
Saturday 10/16 (7:00 am – 10:00 am) – Building stands for trees, continue craft projects.
-
Saturday 10/23 (7:00 am – 10:00 am) – Finish stands if necessary, build something to keep smoke machine from leaking everywhere, complete painting and trees.
-
Saturday 10/30 (Start work around 10:00 am – put everything on trailer, get lights, speakers, and generators hooked up. We leave Casella Waste by 5:00 pm. Parade line up is at 5:30 and starts at 6:30).
Location: Casella Waste on Belden Road, Rutland (the first building on the right on Belden Road, go to overhead door out back).

Interested? Have any questions?

We are still looking for people to dress up and be in the parade with us. If you are interested, please let Nicole know so we can have costumes for you!
We're looking for some new faces, in addition to our regular crew, to help make the return of this much-anticipated event even more special.
Hope to see you there!

Safety Topic: Construction Fatal Four

As we continue to work on our job sites, please keep in mind the following major causes of fatalities in construction, known as the Fatal Four:

Keep Those Good Catch Submissions Coming!
We had a Good Catch where George Staples noticed an excavator was close to a conveyor. George used the radio to stop operation, preventing the conveyor from possibly tipping over.
This highlights the need to pay attention to what others are doing around you. If you see something, say something. The use of a spotter, especially in tight areas, can also help prevent an opportunity for an accident.
Please continue to submit those Good Catches, as we learn a great deal from them (and we only have 4 so far this month).
Thank you for staying safe out there!
