We Did It!!
We have achieved or goal of $30K to offset the budget cuts looming next school year. Thank you to everyone who helped us preserve our program.

Volunteer Positions Still Open
Please consider joining us on the board of volunteers for the Ballard Performing Arts. We have tiny jobs available which help out immensely. If you have an interest in collecting desserts for a fundraiser, taking video of performances, organizing uniforms, or one of the many small parts that make up the whole, please contact Mara .We need your help.

Auditions + 9th Grade Night: Tell your young friends there is a meeting for incoming freshman June 25th at 7pm at Ballard High School. Here are current student and incoming freshman details for all 3 music programs. Audition information for next year is here:  www.ballardperformingarts.org

Music Summer Camps

Uniform Check in
All students performing at graduation, Monday, June 17th will turn in their uniforms immediately after graduation at Memorial Stadium. Students will need to bring a change of clothes to graduation and change in the locker rooms. Your uniforms will be collected outside the locker room.
Percussion students are not performing at graduation.

Choir
Spring Choir Concert recap: We celebrated an amazing year on May 30th. It was a treat to hear selections from the year including those performed in Vancouver BC and at the State Solo/Ensemble competition. 

Senior Awards:

Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Jazz Award: Audrey Bauer
Most Improved:
Graciella Blanco, Diego Ortiz Villacorta San Juan

The night was completed singing the Senior song, I’ll Stand by You . And closing the show with the tradition of calling on alumni to come up and sing Deep Peace

Vocal Jazz Night: Congratulations to Vocal Jazz in a wonderful Solo Night. Every performance was committed, artistic and emotionally engaged. A HUGE thanks to the Ev Stern Jazz Trio for once again joining us!

Orchestra
'19/'20 Audition Update: Auditions for the 2019/20 school year will be June 17th in class and June 18th and 19th after school. More info and music selections will posted on the BPA website.

Music Coaching: Symphonic Orchestra Chamber Music Coaching with the Seattle Chamber Music Society starts on June 18th
Students will be divided into small ensembles and will receive coaching in chamber technique from local chamber music specialists.
