Tips for Growing Your Workforce
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) has released its Ohio Behavioral Health Workforce Roadmap – a 22-point, multi-year plan to strengthen and grow the state’s mental health and SUD treatment workforce.
The Behavioral Health Workforce Roadmap is based on four pillars:
- Increasing Career Awareness
- Supporting Recruitment
- Incentivizing Retention
- Supporting Contemporary Practice

Didi Hirsch provides mental health, substance use disorder, and suicide prevention services all across the state of California. They are home to the nation's first and largest Suicide Prevention Center and have trained teams of crisis counselors that provide support through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline. Their impact over the last 80 years has showed itself in the 1.8 million individuals served and the continued improvement to their programs. Here's to the next 80 years of excellence!
