It is hard to believe we are closing in on the end of the school year. Students, keep working. Complete those last few assignments before you end your year.
As most of us are missing our sports, a quote from Billy Sunday, an outfielder who played in the National League during the 1880’s, comes to mind.
“Stopping at third adds no more to the score than striking out. It doesn’t matter how well you start if you fail to finish.”
Students, you have been doing a great job of navigating these tumultuous times. When you didn’t think you could do remote learning one more day, you did! You are rounding third and are headed for home plate. Don’t give up now, keep moving.
For graduating seniors
who need to finish up hours and/or testing to earn their certifications, we are working with the respective agencies to prepare a schedule for your return. I do not have the specifics today; however, we are getting closer to having a plan. Please keep June open as this will most likely be when we schedule all instruction and testing, respective to your program. As soon as we finalize the details, we will let you know.
For current juniors
, our instructors believe hours can be made up next school year.
This past week was National Teacher Appreciation Week and I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank our teachers. Just as our students faced challenges, the past two months handed our teachers an unfamiliar environment. To our staff, thank you for not giving up on education and not giving up on our students. I am always proud and honored to work with you. To our students, it’s never too late to say thank you to your teachers. Please enjoy the video recognizing our staff.
