The Homeless Helping Homeless
“Peer Advocate Team”
& Costal Bend Community Empowerment
-
The Homeless Helping Homeless Peer Advocates and Coastal Bend Community Empowerment invited friends from multiple sectors of the Corpus Christi community to get together on January 24 to discuss and advocate for ending homelessness in our community.

The “Ending Homelessness Team” which formed had their fourth meeting yesterday. They have been meeting every two weeks to come to a common understanding of the urgency and the possibility of actually ending homelessness.

Yesterday we discussed an initiative called Community Solutions “Built For Zero” which is supporting over 100 towns, cities, and communities across the country in ending homelessness.
If the team agrees, we will be able to join the Community Solutions collaborative through The Texas Homeless Network.

This video features one of the Homeless Helping Homeless
Peer Advocates, Rose, who is a capable representative of the homeless sector at our meetings.

Here are some links to videos we discussed yesterday.
