Join the Poverty Equity Challenge

Want to learn more about how you can abolish poverty? Register to participate in the FREE continued learning with a five-day Abolishing Poverty Equity Challenge from March 4 to March 8!


The Equity Challenge is a commitment to devote 10-15 minutes a day for 5 days to learn about the foundations of racism and the different ways that bias, privilege, oppression, and trauma show up in our everyday lives. With this deeper understanding of foundations of racism and how it shapes different people’s lived experiences, we can do our part to make positive change in our community. The Equity Challenge can be an impactful journey for everyone – no matter where you come from or how you identify yourself.

UNITED WAY YOUTH BOARD

By working TOGETHER, we empower our community, because no one person can do it alone. Meet United Way of West Central Connecticut's Youth Board!

 

Youth Board is a collaboration of 30 high school students, representing the six high schools in Burlington, Bristol, Plymouth, and Plainville, dedicated to motivating, mobilizing, and serving the community.

United Way of West Central Connecticut's Youth Board is hosting the Senior Citizens Prom for another year. Seniors from Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth are all welcome to attend.


Tickets are FREE and available beginning March 1 at the Bristol Senior Center (240 Stafford Avenue, Bristol). There are a limited number of tickets that can only be picked up in person at the Bristol Senior Center.

We are looking for nonprofits, in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, and Plymouth/Terryville, who have projects that groups of volunteers can assist with on Friday, May 17, 2024.
