Ohio Value Voters Endorses Colleen O'Donnell for Ohio Supreme Court
After a thorough review by the Board of Ohio Value Voters, we are proud to announce our official endorsement of Colleen O'Donnell for the Ohio Supreme Court in the 2026 election.
Colleen O’Donnell brings more than two decades of distinguished legal and judicial experience to her candidacy for the Supreme Court of Ohio. Since 2025, she has been a candidate for Ohio’s highest court, building on a career defined by service, integrity, and a deep respect for the rule of law.
Colleen resides in Columbus with her husband and two children.

Judge O’Donnell served for ten years on the Franklin County Common Pleas Court, General Division, from 2013 to 2023, where she presided over complex civil and criminal matters and earned a reputation for fairness, diligence, and sound judgment. In 2023, she began serving as a Federal Immigration Judge with the United States Department of Justice, further expanding her judicial experience at the federal level.
In addition to her judicial service, Judge O’Donnell has extensive experience as an attorney in both public service and private practice. In 2023, she served as an attorney in the Office of the Federal Energy Advocate at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at Carpenter Lipps LLP from 2008 to 2013, an Assistant Attorney General with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office from 2006 to 2007, and a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in 2007.
Judge O’Donnell earned her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University. She is a graduate of Magnificat High School, where she received her diploma with honors.
Deeply committed to her community and the legal profession, Judge O’Donnell is a longstanding member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Ohio Women’s Bar Association. She has served on the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on the Certification of Attorneys as Specialists and on the Miami University Alumni Pre-Law Advisory Board. She currently serves on the Board of the Grandview Heights Public Library Foundation and, in 2025, began serving as a Sunday School teacher at Our Lady of Victory.
