Voting in the upcoming election begins next Monday, March 20. We are fortunate to have an abundance of candidates willing to serve our community. 

 

As a mayor, I work closely with elected colleagues on the school boards, park board, and township as well as city council. While our governments may be separate, at the core of everything we do, is you. Working together, we identify opportunities, build coalitions and find solutions to meet the needs of our community both now and for the future.

 

While i t's not always easy to decide who we want to represent our voice, I believe effective public servants are: professional, constructive, collaborative, transparent, focused on the community as a whole, and engaged in issues relevant to the offices they seek. Early voting begins this coming Monday, March 20 and runs through April 1 at the Highland Park Police Station (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 2pm). You can early vote at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan through April 3. Election Day is April 4 (6am - 7pm) and you must vote at your assigned poll.
