PaveDrain meets the requirements by the ADA by having a ¼” gap between each individual PaveDrain block. Most owners that have worked with permeable pavers have had rough experiences with maintaining the permeable system. The main issue is the clogging of the joints with debris that requires a specialized vacuum system to unclog the joints. The PaveDrain system does not use aggregate in the joints which allows for much higher infiltration rates. As for maintenance, a standard municipal street sweeper will remove debris from the joints.
Our Endurablend polymer cement coating is being used to preserve and protect the PaveDrain system from traffic wear, salt and de-icing materials, UV and other environmental factors. By applying Endurablend, you can now install the PaveDrain system in high traffic urban environments. Additionally, Endurablend can be applied to the PaveDrain system in a wide variety of colors. You can even create designs.
