Think it can't happen to you?

That's about to change with a radical new bill that will

pass if parents do not act immediately.

The bill is HB268, touted as a "School Safety" bill.

Truth In Education is devoted to student and school personnel safety.

Why is this bill moving forward?

• This bill is in response to the school shooting in Winder, GA, back in September 2024
• It has been put forward as a "School Safety" bill, but it is 55+ pages of gross government overreach
• Crafted and sponsored by the Georgia Republican establishment
• This legislation exemplifies how emotional tragedies are exploited by Progressives and RINOs to expand government control over children and further erode parental rights

What's in the bill?

• Criminalizes speech. Students could face felony charges for what they say online, on the school bus, in the classroom, etc
• Parents can be punished for their child’s words
• Creates a stealth, comprehensive student surveillance system (S3)
• Labels kids as a potential “threat” without parental consent and shares their information with law enforcement
• Labels follow a child throughout adulthood impacting their quality of life
• Utilizes predictive policing--making assumptions about future behavior and restricting a child's rights based on this past information
• It gives government agencies such as DFCS greater rights over children than parents
• It allows for anonymous reporting of gestures and speech "violations" and removes the ability of children or parents to defend themselves under the laws of due process
• Potential for conflicts of interest and grievous abuse

This bill is truly horrific and should never have seen the light of day. It does not need to be amended. It needs to die.

Please reach out to your GA representative and senator and ask them to firmly oppose the grasping and dangerous government overreach bill HB268.
