Energy Alberta is considering two advanced, Canadian-owned nuclear reactor technologies for the Peace River Nuclear Power Project, each with the ability to deliver large-scale, reliable, low emissions electricity for decades.

Meaningful engagement with Indigenous Nations and Communities is a foundational value for Energy Alberta and central to Project planning. A detailed record of this work to date has been provided as part of our updated Initial Project Description.

That principle was at the heart of a recent educational opportunity sponsored by Energy Alberta in the Peace Region - a half-day workshop designed to increase community awareness and education about the nuclear sector.
